Job Purpose

We are looking for a passionate and organised member for our team for the full time position of Sales & Events Coordinator. This is a fantastic role within the Events team, playing an important part in developing Wedding, Event and Conference business. A great opportunity to work within a busy events environment, experience in sales and hospitality is a must.


Key Responsibilities

As Sales & Events Coordinator, the main focus will be to maximise sales through the following:

Winning and retaining business while promoting the awareness of all facilities and services on offer.

  • Responding to all incoming enquiries in an efficient and professional manner by email and telephone.
  • Ensure all events are dealt with from enquiry to confirmation and that event sheets are completed with great attention to detail.
  • Liaise with the other teams to ensure a seamless transition of information from the Events team to the our catering partners.
  • Pro-actively follow up on all provisional bookings, tracking the enquiries and maintaining good working relationships with clients.
  • Assisting all new wedding couples with planning their wedding day, and be the Wedding Coordinator on the special day at the hotel.
  • Attending Wedding Fairs to promote the venues services.
  • Use sales techniques that maximise revenue including up selling.
  • Pro-actively seek new business opportunities for the venue and arrange meeting for show rounds.
  • Researching and undertaking competitor analysis.
  • Host and coordinate different events, ensuring the best customer experience for our guests.


Knowledge and Skills

  • Proven office administrative experience.
  • Sales and Marketing experience.
  • Knowledge of office management systems and procedures.
  • Excellent time management and ability to multi-task and prioritise work.
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving skills; Excellent verbal and written communication skills (phone, email and in person).
  • Responsible and organised.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Somebody with a fun and friendly demeanour to fit in with the existing operations team.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to form professional relationships across all areas of the business.
