While enterprises rush to adopt AI, they're paralyzed by a simple question: "Which AI vendors are actually safe and how to deploy?" We give them the answer—independent, safety, trust and financial risk in CFO speak. The timing is perfect. Board-level AI governance mandates. High-profile AI incidents. What was "nice to have" 12 months ago is now "deploy this yesterday or the board fires us." The tailwinds are real and accelerating.
The Opportunity (And the Challenge)
You'll be selling a category that didn't exist 18 months ago to buyers who may not know they need it to survive the next 12 months. There's no established playbook. No warm pipelines. No enterprise sales machine.
● A product that makes people say "holy shit, this changes everything"
● A market experiencing regulatory + demand shockwaves simultaneously
● Direct access to founders and influence on product/strategy
● Uncapped earning potential in a category we're defining
The catch: You'll be doing what it takes - educating the market, building from zero, warm or cold. If you need a predictor sales structure, this isn't it. If you thrive in chaos, and can work backwards from outcomes, keep reading.
● Hunt and qualify leads. Find Chief AI Officers, Risk leaders, CTOs, CIOS who are on the hook to manage the risk of integrating AI products. Get them interested and qualified for demos.
● Run with the sales process. Prospect → qualify → demo → support closing. You'll work deals from start to finish with founder support on complex deals.
● Learn and educate. You'll become an expert on AI risk so you can educate buyers who don't yet know they need this.
● Test and learn. Try different messaging, track what works, share learnings. Define what resonates in this brand-new category for the market.
● Move fast. Early stage means rapid iteration and direct feedback—no bureaucracy.
● Relentless. When someone says "we're not ready," you hear "teach me why you should be." You don't take no for an answer—you find the right angle.
● Entrepreneurial. You're early in your career but you think like a founder. You've maybe done a side project, worked at a start-up, or just have that itch to build something. Ambiguity doesn't scare you—it excites you.
● Curious. AI risk sits at the intersection of AI tech, risk & compliance, and business strategy. You love learning complex topics and explaining them simply. You can talk to both technical and business buyers.
● Hungry. Not just for money—for impact, at an industry level. You want equity because you believe in building something big. You want to be able to say "I was there at the beginning.
Required:
● 2-4 years B2B sales (SaaS, RegTech, GRC, cybersecurity, or emerging tech)
● Track record of hitting quota in ambiguous environments
● Ability to explain complex concepts to non-technical executives
● Comfort with rejection (you'll hear "no" 30x before you hear "yes")
● Self-starter DNA—you don't wait for direction, you create momentum
Bonus:
● Sold into risk, compliance, security, or legal functions
● Experience in category creation or "new market" sales
● Understanding of AI/ML and enterprise risk
● Network with CROs, CFOs, CISOs or Chief AI Officers
Most sales associate roles: you're #47 on a team, following a proven playbook, hitting established quotas.
This role: you're in the room as we build out the playbook. You'll help create the category positioning, test messaging, and build processes. You'll grow leaps as the company grows.
