SDR Team Lead – Manchester (Hybrid)

Responsibilities of the SDR Team Lead

  • Identify, research, and target new business opportunities within strategic accounts
  • Nurture inbound and marketing-generated leads, converting them into qualified opportunities
  • Engage decision-makers through multi-channel outreach (phone, email, LinkedIn)
  • Build detailed account profiles, uncover client requirements, and position relevant IT solutions
  • Set qualified appointments, demos, and webinars for sales and pre-sales teams
  • Maintain accurate pipeline and activity data within Salesforce
  • Lead, coach, and motivate a small team of SDRs to hit KPIs and drive results
  • Monitor performance metrics, provide feedback, and continuously improve sales effectiveness
  • Collaborate with sales leadership to refine prospecting strategies and maximise conversion rates
  • Support the Chief Growth Officer with regular updates on pipeline progress and team performance


Skills & Experience Needed for the SDR Team Lead

  • Minimum 2+ years’ experience in business development, lead generation, or SDR roles
  • Proven background working within a Managed Service Provider (MSP)
  • Strong understanding of IT vendors and solutions (e.g., Cisco, Avaya, HPE, Extreme, etc.)
  • Demonstrable experience leading or mentoring a sales team — including KPI management, motivation, and performance improvement
  • Confident communicator with strong written, verbal, and interpersonal skills
  • Experience using Salesforce CRM and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Commercially driven with the ability to research markets, understand customer pain points, and align solutions to business needs
  • Ambition to progress into Account Management or New Business within 12–18 months
