TheSales Development Representativerole: The Sales Development Representative (SDR) is responsible for identifying, engaging, and qualifying new business opportunities within the construction technology sector. Alongside generating pipeline for the sales team, you will take ownership of building and closing smaller, transactional deals within your defined sector. This role is suited to someone energetic, resilient, and commercially minded, with the ability to balance high-volume prospecting activity with progressing opportunities through to successful closure. What you will do as our Sales Development Representative: Prospecting & Lead Generation
Research and identify potential customers through outbound outreach, industry events, and digital channels. Qualification
Engage with prospects using phone, email, social channels, and video to understand their needs, challenges, and buying potential. Transactional Deal Closing
Own and close smaller, non-complex sales opportunities directly, ensuring adherence to pricing and commercial guidelines. Pipeline Management
Progress qualified opportunities through the sales cycle, balancing seamless handovers to Business Development Managers with direct sales. CRM Management
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all prospecting, opportunity progression, and closed business within CRM systems. Reporting & Forecasting
Provide timely and accurate pipeline updates and forecasts. Target Achievement
Consistently meet or exceed activity KPIs as well as opportunity creation and revenue targets. Collaboration
Partner with Business Development Managers and Operations to ensure effective handovers and smooth onboarding of new customers. Market Awareness
Stay informed on industry trends, competitor activity, and customer challenges to deliver relevant, value-led conversations. Our ideal Sales Development Representativewill have: Resilient, motivated, and commercially minded with a target-driven approach. Skilled at handling objections and negotiating smaller deals independently. Curious and eager to learn, with a growth mindset and openness to feedback. Strong attention to detail with excellent time management and prioritisation skills. Professional, energetic, and able to build rapport quickly with diverse stakeholders. Self-motivated and capable of working independently, while thriving in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. Essential Experience Experience in a business development or inside sales environment (SDR, inside sales, or similar). Confident using CRM systems and sales engagement tools. Demonstrated ability to balance high-volume outreach with progressing opportunities to closure. Proven success meeting activity KPIs and/or closing smaller sales transactions. Understanding of the construction industry, including workflows, challenges, and opportunities for digital transformation. Desirable Previous experience in SaaS or construction technology sales.
