Sales Director -- Italy & Southern Switzerland

New Today

Job Description

We’re working with a high-growth, independent investment platform to appoint a senior Italian-speaking Sales Director.

This is a strategic, senior role offering full ownership of a largely untapped Southern European territory, covering Italy, Southern Switzerland and the wider Mediterranean region. Based in London, you’ll build and lead new client relationships across institutional allocators, private banks, wealth managers and family offices — supported by an exceptional multi-asset platform.

This is not a “plug-and-play” sales seat. It’s a chance to shape the firm’s Southern European distribution strategy, bring your network to a nimble and respected platform, and benefit directly from the flows you generate — with genuine long-term upside.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and expand the firm’s presence across Italy, Southern Switzerland and Mediterranean markets, leveraging your network to originate new client relationships.
  • Position the firm as a strategic investment partner for institutions and intermediaries, working closely with senior leadership to drive regional growth.
  • Lead the end-to-end sales process, from identifying opportunities to structuring tailored investment solutions across liquid, alternative and private market strategies.
  • Act as the firm’s ambassador in market — presenting strategies, sharing insights, and feeding back client intelligence to the investment and product teams.
  • Deliver first-class account management, including portfolio reviews, service plans and ongoing relationship development.

What We’re Looking For

  • A credible sales professional with an established network of institutional investors, private banks, wealth managers and/or family offices across Italy and Southern Switzerland.
  • Proven experience raising capital for UCITS and/or private market strategies, with the ability to structure bespoke solutions for sophisticated clients.
  • Fluency in Italian and English, plus excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • A proactive, entrepreneurial mindset, strong commercial drive, and a demonstrable track record of originating and closing business.
  • Organised, analytical and collaborative — someone who thrives in a meritocratic, fast-paced environment.

Why This Role

  • Greenfield territory with full ownership and strategic input.
  • Exceptional product platform across public and private markets.
  • Significant earnings potential, tied directly to long-term client flows.
  • A flat, entrepreneurial culture with direct access to senior leadership.
  • Clear path to broaden remit or leadership as the region grows.
