Overview
Our client, a prominent entity in the Defence & Security sector, is currently seeking a Sales Director to join their team. This is a permanent position that offers the opportunity to lead the sales function, drive growth strategies, and achieve significant financial targets within the business.
Responsibilities
- Lead the Sales function within the company.
- Execute sales growth strategies to achieve company-wide financial targets agreed with the CEO.
- Achieve personal sales targets agreed with the CEO.
- Expand sales into new markets and regions.
- Line manage and build good working relationships within the sales team.
- Develop and mentor junior sales staff, offering structured advice and support.
- Foster strong working relationships between the Sales and Engineering functions.
- Provide key market information to the Engineering team to ensure product alignment with market requirements.
- Oversee Sales team recruitment and create training programmes for new and existing employees.
- Analyse market trends and results.
Key Measures of Success
- Meet and exceed agreed new sales order targets.
- Build pipeline value year on year.

Experience/Qualifications
- Proven experience in a senior sales role, ideally within the defence sensors industry.
- Ability to obtain UK security clearance.
- Full UK driving licence.
