Sales Director – Forklifts


Location: Nationwide.

Salary: £70,000 - £90,000 + Car / Car Allowance + Commission.

Industry: Forklift Trucks.

The Role:


Our client is seeking an experienced, strategic, and results-driven Sales Director to lead their commercial team and drive growth across the UK and international markets. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, the Sales Director will be responsible for shaping the sales strategy, building strong customer relationships, and achieving ambitious revenue targets.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Develops and implements a comprehensive sales strategy aligned with our client’s growth objectives.
  • Leads, mentors, and motivates a high-performing sales team, setting clear objectives and KPIs.
  • Identifies and secures new business opportunities while expanding existing accounts.
  • Builds and maintains strong relationships with distributors, dealers, and key industrial clients.
  • Collaborates with marketing, product development, and operations teams to deliver a seamless customer experience.
  • Monitors market trends, competitor activity, and customer feedback to inform business strategy.
  • Manages budgets, sales forecasts, and reporting to the executive team.
  • Represents our client at industry events, trade shows, and customer meetings.


Candidate Requirements:


  • Proven experience in a senior sales leadership role within the industrial equipment, material handling, or manufacturing sector.
  • Strong knowledge of forklift trucks, warehouse equipment, or related products is highly desirable.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive revenue growth and manage large sales teams.
  • Excellent negotiation, presentation, and communication skills.
  • Strategic thinker with strong commercial acumen and problem-solving ability.
  • Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment with multiple stakeholders.
