About the Role
A growing B2B media and events company is seeking a Media Sales Manager to take ownership of commercial growth across a dedicated fintech and payments portfolio. You’ll manage relationships with advertising and content clients, focusing on high-growth verticals such as high-risk payments, crypto, digital finance, and payment infrastructure.
This is a strategic, hands-on sales role with clear targets and room for growth. You’ll be the go-to expert for the fintech/payments vertical and will work closely with editorial, marketing, and events teams to deliver commercial value across digital platforms, newsletters, webinars, podcasts, and more.
What We’re Looking For
Experience in fintech or payments is essential — you understand the space, the players, and the trends.
Someone career-driven, commercially focused, and capable of building and managing their own revenue pipeline from the ground up.
A mature, emotionally intelligent communicator who thrives in a fast-moving environment and can build long-term client relationships.
Key Responsibilities
Sell media, advertising, and content solutions across a B2B fintech/payments publication
Manage and grow a client base across high-value sectors (e.g. crypto, B2B payments, PSPs, regtech)
Own the full sales cycle: prospecting, relationship-building, pitching, closing, and reporting
Work closely with editorial to align client messaging with evolving brand content
Collaborate across departments to ensure delivery and client satisfaction
Attend industry events and represent the brand in the UK, Europe, and North America
Log activity and maintain account hygiene in the company CRM system
Your Experience
Proven B2B media sales experience, ideally including fintech, payments, or high-risk markets
Confident generating and converting your own leads
Skilled in consultative selling and solution-based thinking
Comfortable working independently and hitting ambitious targets
Great communicator with strong listening, questioning, and objection-handling ability
CRM-savvy and organised with good reporting discipline
Entrepreneurial, motivated, and team-oriented
