We are a small team of highly experienced professionals that pride ourselves on sourcing and selling high quality used vehicles.
We are based within our sister company offices in Knaresborough, North Yorkshire (Oracle Car Finance)
A bit about you
Lawton Brook is seeking a dynamic and driven General Sales Manager to lead our high-performing team and drive business success. This is a pivotal leadership role where you'll oversee daily operations, coach and motivate the sales team, manage stock and purchasing, and ensure compliance with legal and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the day-to-day activities of the sales team.
- Set and monitor sales targets and KPIs, providing coaching and support.
- Oversee stock control, purchasing, and vehicle preparation.
- Drive performance through data, reporting, and management information.
- Represent Lawton Brook at promotional events and maintain high standards across all customer-facing areas.
- Collaborate with Oracle Finance to maximise cross-selling opportunities.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, health & safety, and employment standards.
What Makes You the Ideal Candidate:
- Proven experience leading a sales team in the prestige motor trade.
- Strong understanding of sales processes and performance management.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and coaching skills.
- High level of professionalism, integrity, and attention to detail.
- Strong IT skills, particularly in MS Office.
- Full UK driving licence.

What’s on offer
A competitive basic salary of up to £75,000 plus 10% pre-tax profit generated within Lawton Brook. On-target earnings (OTE) are expected to reach £100,000.
Our hours of work are predominantly Monday to Friday with the occasional weekend cover when required.
