Our client is a forward-thinking and rapidly growing company in the modular construction sector, specialising in the design, manufacture, and delivery of bespoke prefabricated units for both the domestic and commercial markets. Their portfolio includes everything from luxury garden rooms and self-contained annexes to modular classrooms and education buildings.
They are known for combining craftsmanship with innovation, using sustainable materials and modern construction methods like SIPS (Structural Insulated Panel Systems).
With growing demand in both private and public sectors, particularly in education, the company is investing in the next phase of growthand is now seeking a Sales & Marketing Manager to take the lead.
About the Role
This is a hybrid role that blends strategic sales leadership with hands-on marketing management, with a strong focus on growing domestic sales and developing the commercial pipeline in the education sector.
Youll be responsible for managing and growing a stable, high-performing sales teama foundation that will allow the business to aggressively target the commercial market, particularly within education. With this momentum, expanding that side of the business will be a more streamlined and scalable task.
Youll be expected to lead from the front as a born deal closer, setting the pace and standard for business development. The successful candidate must also be proactive in identifying potential end users across both domestic and commercial segmentsand take initiative to scope out and engage them directly.
On the marketing side, youll own and execute the companys marketing strategy and will be supported by a Marketing Junior, whom you will have the authority to recruit and manage.
You'll play a pivotal role in elevating the brand, expanding into key sectors like education, and developing new revenue streams such as SIPS.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Business Development
Drive and manage domestic sales leads (garden rooms, annexes, home offices, etc.)
Manage and grow a high-performing sales team
Actively grow the commercial pipelineparticularly in the education sector (e.g. modular classrooms, school buildings)
Proactively identify and scope out potential end users in both domestic and commercial markets
Lead by example as a natural deal closer, consistently driving conversions from lead to signed contract
Build and maintain strong client relationships (private homeowners, schools, architects, developers, etc.)
Prepare and present bespoke proposals, quotes, and concept pitches
Monitor sales KPIs and performance data to drive continuous improvement
Marketing & Brand Strategy
Own and implement the companys digital marketing strategy
Manage the company website; liaise with web developers to ensure content, SEO, and UX are up to standard
Plan and manage PPC and paid ad campaigns to drive qualified traffic and leads
Oversee content creation and campaigns across social platforms (Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook, etc.)
Develop email campaigns targeting segmented customer groups
Recruit and manage a Marketing Junior to help execute day-to-day marketing activity
Create case studies, testimonials, photo/video content, and project updates
Track analytics and engagement across channels to refine strategy
Emerging Opportunity
SIPS Product Line
Help position the companys SIPS division as a standalone solution in the construction market
Identify and approach new customer segments (builders, developers, self-builders)
Support go-to-market strategy development for the SIPS offering
Skills and Qualifications
Required:
Proven sales experience in modular construction, property, or similar sectors
Strong knowledge of prefabricated construction and/or SIPS
A confident, proactive deal closer with a proven track record of hitting and exceeding targets
Experience in digital marketing, content creation, and paid advertising
Experience managing or mentoring others in a sales and/or marketing function
Website management experience and ability to work with web developers and PPC providers
Comfortable using CRM systems, marketing platforms, and analytics tools
You must have been there and done it before
