Join our fantastic team in the South of Ireland supporting and driving the sales of our Industrial Wood coatings!

This position is covering the South of Ireland (Dublin to Galway across, and all below), driving business with our existing customers and creating new opportunities to further develop our sales reach. Ths position is perfect for an experienced sales person living in the area, willing to travel. Ideally with paint or coatings experience, but equally a desire to learn and a hungry to grow would be ideal as we can train the technical skills.   • Develop sales plans, activities and manage the day-to-day activities of the respective sales territory to implement the organization’s overall sales strategy for the island of Ireland. 
  • Work closely with direct end users and distribution network
  • Ensure that pricing is appropriate, accurate and up to date. 
  • Negotiate sales with existing and new customers who are of strategic importance to the organization.
  • Contribute to the development of sales, marketing, customer retention, advertising, pricing, and strategies for the area of responsibility.
  • Search for and create new business opportunities in accordance with business needs, potential and capacity.

  • Work closely with technical team for trials and trouble shooting.
  • Establish and maintain excellent relations with key decision makers.
  • Assists with credit management. 
  • Identify and develop new business through planned prospecting.
  • Report daily on work activity neatly, precisely and on time.
  • Report promptly competitor activity, market trends, price surveys and new product development in the marketplace monthly.
  • Participate in relevant trade shows, or functions as required.
  • Deal with all queries, complaints and requests for information and report promptly and effectively.
  • Always reflect a positive Company image.
  • Maintain company records always ensuring total confidentiality.
  • Perform other duties as requested by Sales Manager
  • Leaving certificate or equivalent second level education.
  • Minimum 5 years’ sales experience 
  • Full clean driving license
  • Travel requirements - 80% of the time
  • Dynamic and results oriented.
  • English – Writing, reading and spoken. 
  • Preferred

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in relevant Science subject, or Diploma in Paint Technology.
  • Experience from coatings industry, Knowledge of industrial application equipment, knowledge of kitchen cabinet and exterior joinery sectors. Technical mindset to support sales on portfolio of products
