Position: Sales Support / Pre-Construction Coordinator

Sector: Commercial Solar PV & BESS (Retrofits & O&M)

Location: UK (South Wales preferred / hybrid with remote flexibility)

Reports to: Senior Business Development Manager


About the Role


We’re looking for a highly organised and proactive Sales Support / Pre-Construction Coordinator to join a leading renewable energy company. This role is vital to ensuring that our Business Development Managers (BDMs) can focus on winning new work, while you keep the pipeline of projects flowing smoothly.

You’ll take ownership of the administrative and coordination tasks that keep commercial solar PV and battery retrofit projects moving through the pre-construction stage. Unfortunately, due to the urgent nature of this role Right to work in the UK is essential for this role


Key Responsibilities


Support BDMs with day-to-day coordination across the sales pipeline.

Liaise with designers to ensure drawings, layouts, and proposals are delivered on time.

Organise DNO applications, track progress, and follow up with distribution network operators.

Arrange and coordinate structural surveys, roof assessments, and site visits.

Prepare and manage pre-construction paperwork, ensuring accuracy and compliance.

Maintain an organised system for tracking project status, deadlines, and client communications.

Provide internal updates to the sales and operations teams to ensure smooth project handovers.

Support the creation of client packs, documentation, and other pre-construction materials.


Essential Requirements (Please read carefully)


Familiarity with DNO applications, structural surveys, or construction paperwork is essential (extra training will be provided but not without a fundamental understanding/experience).

Previous experience in a coordinator / sales support / project admin role, ideally in solar, construction, or renewables.

Strong organisational and administrative skills, with an eye for detail.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills; confident liaising with clients, suppliers, and technical teams.

Comfortable managing multiple projects at different stages.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office; CRM or project management software experience an advantage.

£30,000-£40,000 (DOE)

Entry to mid-level: £30,000 – £34,000 base

Experienced (3–5 yrs, sector knowledge): £35,000 – £40,000 base
