In this Senior Product Manager role, you will be part of the Data team owning Sales Transaction data. We are on a journey to become the single trusted source for the entire business to access complete, accurate, and enriched retail Sales Transaction data, our most valuable data asset.
You will work directly with a Data Engineering team and Data Architect, focusing on delivery and pace, aligned to our metric-driven outcomes. Collaboration with Analytics and Finance teams will be key, always putting customers at the center of your decision-making.
This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a mature Data team on a product in high demand across our business, with exposure to senior leadership in key forums.
What I need to do:
- Articulate your Product’s vision and strategy, using techniques like visual storytelling to explain concepts and benefits.
- Support end-to-end delivery by maintaining a 90-day product roadmap, a full-year big rock view, and a prioritized FY backlog, with regular progress updates and risk management.
- Engage continuously with customers to assess, prioritize, and support feature delivery that enables business outcomes, balancing technical enablers with Engineering and Data Architecture.
- Collaborate with upstream teams to maintain sales data integrity and availability.
- Track effort and value delivery, identifying opportunities for cost reduction and informing prioritization.
- Champion customer and colleague needs, using insights from multiple data sources to drive value-led prioritization.
- Monitor industry trends and engage internal and external teams to build shared insights.
How I will succeed:
- Understand the end-to-end data flow and how customer propositions appear in our data.
- Work directly with data to support prioritization, problem solving, impact assessments, and solutions.
- Use insights, data, and research to focus on making a significant impact based on product metrics (OKRs).
- Prioritize and coordinate the resolution of live product issues.
- Build collaborative relationships with engineering to solve problems for customers and the business.
- Engage and motivate stakeholders around the product roadmap, encouraging constructive challenge.
- Create positive impact with internal and external audiences, securing senior stakeholder advocacy.
- Approach problem solving creatively, supporting change through people and technology.

- Knowledge of grocery retail, technology landscape, and how to maximize product value.
- Understanding of Agile delivery and modern engineering practices.
- Knowledge of technical product development principles and methodologies.

- Ability to translate business goals into a product roadmap prioritizing value delivery and future agility.
- Skill in translating requirements into clear user stories and sprint goals.
- Technical curiosity, experience working with engineers and architects, and asking right questions.
- Courage to experiment, learn from failure, and encourage innovation.
- Strong relationship-building skills and a desire to foster a positive team culture.
