Duties and responsibilities related to the Senior Sales Manager role
- Develop and maintain strategic partnerships with all customers to provide profitable and efficient account management.
- Use reports, local knowledge, competitive analysis and networking skills to find new opportunities for the hotel.
- Attract revenue in line with our business strategy and budget.
- Implement Sales Action Plans related to their marketing area as outlined in Personal Business Plan and overall business strategy.
- To follow up on all potential sales leads.
- To develop and schedule a calendar of activity throughout the year, focusing on specific targets and to consider quieter periods and how we market the hotel during these times –this should be carried out along with a Personal Business Plan.
- To plan Sales trips, under the direct approval of the Director of Sales & Marketing and other to major feeder markets, calling on accounts within their specific marketing area.
- Provide feedback to the Director of Sales & Marketing on changing conditions, including trends in the competition, as a result of Hotel intelligence, competition, direct solicitation, telephone and direct mail, in their market areas. Arrange FAM and Site inspection trips to hotels by major clients and accompany clients.
- To produce and submit a monthly activity report and market conditions in relation to your account portfolio.
- To host and assist in client entertainment, familiarisation trips and sales department activities
- To carry out any other reasonable tasks that may be required from time to time.
About You
You have previous experience in a sales management role within the premium hospitality segment, ideally within a hotel environment. With excellent communication, negotiation, and influencing skills, you take a proactive approach to identifying opportunities and driving revenue growth. Professional, adaptable, and client-focused, you excel at building long-term business relationships while aligning with overall business objectives.
