Our client, a long-standing and reputable steel stockholder and processor, is looking to appoint a Steel Sales Executive to join their commercial team. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-established business with modern facilities, solid supply lines, and a loyal customer base.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and grow an existing customer base
• Proactively identify and convert new business opportunities
• Promote a full range of steel sheet products
• Prepare and issue competitive quotations, ensuring profitability and service quality
• Maintain strong relationships with buyers, production managers, and engineers
• Collaborate closely with operations and logistics teams to ensure smooth order fulfilment
• Use CRM systems to track pipeline activity and maintain customer data
• Stay up to date on market trends, pricing fluctuations, and competitor activity

Requirements:

• Proven sales experience in the steel industry
• Commercial awareness and strong negotiation skills
• Ability to manage the full sales cycle, from prospecting to closing
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
• UK driving licence and willingness to visit customer sites when required
