As the Strategic Business Development Manager, you'll be at the forefront of driving our growth and success. Your mission? To seek out and secure new business while maintaining and expanding our current book of business.
Essential Job Duties:
- Acquire new business
- Develop and grow healthy pipeline of opportunities that align with company targets and objectives
- Present innovative sales solutions to prospective customers, positioning us as market leaders
- Entertain and engage with new prospects and current clients, forging long-term, trust-based relationships
- Craft strategies focused on revenue and profitability growth, ensuring customer satisfaction every step of the way
- Conduct research to identify new markets and customer needs
- Build long-term relationships with new and existing customers
- Arrange and lead meetings with prospective clients, showcasing the value of our services
- Promote our comprehensive range of services, addressing and anticipating clients’ objectives
- Keep records of sales, revenue, invoices etc.
- Embrace travel opportunities as needed to build and strengthen client relationships
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2+ years of freight brokerage/3PL sales experience
- LTL and Final Mile experience
- Pre-existing book of business that can be transferred to DM
- Experience managing multiple customers simultaneously
- Well versed with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and SharePoint
- Strong typing skills
- Ability to remain patient and calm under pressure
- Top-notch customer service skills
- Skill to quickly pivot from one task to another and reprioritize throughout the day
- Stellar persuasion skills and ability to close sales
- Ability to read, speak, write, and understand English in a professional manner
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain, or related field
- 3+ years of brokerage/3PL sales experience
- Ability to commute to our Boyertown, PA office as needed
