We are seeking a proactive and commercially-minded Technical Pre-Sales & Account Manager to support strategic clients within the mobile telecoms sector. This role requires a blend of technical knowledge, client engagement, and commercial awareness to support and grow existing accounts.
The successful candidate will serve as a key interface between clients and the product development team, helping clients maximise the value of our infrastructure asset tracking platform. You will contribute to pre-sales solutioning, identify upsell opportunities, and gather actionable customer insights through a consultative approach.
Key Responsibilities: Client Engagement & Account Management:
- Serve as the main technical and commercial point of contact for assigned telecoms clients.
- Develop trusted relationships with client stakeholders, understanding their business, operational, and technology needs.
- Identify and monetise upsell opportunities, service enhancements, and consultancy engagements.
- Gather customer intelligence to feed into strategic account planning.
- Proactively manage account performance, usage metrics, and satisfaction.
Technical Pre-Sales & Solution Support:
- Support technical scoping and solution design for new and existing client use cases.
- Deliver demonstrations and assist in proof-of-concept (PoC) deployments.
- Collaborate with the product team to influence development based on client feedback and technical feasibility.
- Work with internal teams to estimate effort, define deliverables, and draft proposals.
- Assist in preparing bid responses and technical documentation for RFPs and tenders.
- Capture and prioritise feature requests and technical feedback from clients.
- Translate client requirements into actionable development tickets and user stories.
- Participate in sprint planning, backlog grooming, and product roadmap discussions.
- Provide QA support and validation of features before client release.
Person Specification Essential Experience & Qualifications:
- Proven experience in a technical account management, pre-sales, or solutions consulting role.
- Background in the mobile telecoms industry or infrastructure-related technology.
- Experience supporting enterprise or B2B SaaS platforms.
- Ability to manage multiple clients and projects in parallel.
- Strong commercial acumen and ability to identify monetisation opportunities.
Technical Skills:
- Understanding of telecoms infrastructure and asset tracking technologies.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms, APIs, and web-based applications.
- Ability to read technical documentation and explain concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Proficient with CRM tools, ticketing systems, and project collaboration platforms (e.g. Jira, HubSpot, Trello).
- Experience with 3D modelling, or data visualization platforms.
- Exposure to product development cycles or agile methodologies.
- Previous work with network operators, Towercos, or telecoms consultancies.
