Technical Sales Executive, Personal Care

As we continue to deliver cutting-edge technology and new ideas, we are looking for a Technical Salesperson to join our organisation to lead manage the pre-sales and drive inclusion of Croda products in prospective and existing customer formulations for Hair Care Actives.

Reporting into the Sector Sales Manager for Personal Care, you will routinely follow up with leads and incoming queries, meet with the customer R&D teams, understand their formulation expectations and pitch Croda products that will increase the efficacy of their formulations. You will be responsible for building and converting the pipeline into regular business for the market.

Degree qualified in Chemical or Cosmetic engineering.
Proven experience and understanding of Hair Care ingredients, predominantly for Hair growth, Balding and Greying.
Must have good oral and written communication skills to be able to represent Croda.
Works well in a team and interact effectively with others.
Records data accurately CRM applications.


What You’ll Be Doing:

Be part of a team that values diversity, sustainability, and continuous innovation, where your ideas and contributions matter. 

 Manage and grow the current business in Hair Care category within the Personal Care segment for the company.
 Develop new business by identifying potential sales opportunities and following up on new leads and sample requests.
 Implement long-term and short-term plans for product promotions and sales. Coordinate and assist the sales team in securing new sales in line with business and marketing policies.
 Maintain a pipeline of projects and report promptly on business (C4C reports) in the designated market.
 Carry out activities such as new business development, new product promotion, and deliver product presentations considering market applications of products.
 Visit customers to explain, promote, and recommend Croda products, and provide technical support within the Indian regions. Coordinate projects and development work with customers.
 Liaise with all necessary functions—especially sales, technical, and regulatory to ensure all requirements are fulfilled from lead identification to project commercialization.
 Update information about competition in the designated market.
 Ensure all customer requests related to technical and new product development are resolved within the relevant system and responses are communicated back to the customer.
 Assist in the promotion of new and existing products by attending exhibitions, arranging seminars, liaising with the marketing team on the digital front, and undertaking marketing projects as directed by sales management.
 Carry no line responsibility in this role.
 Frequently coordinate with the global team to align strategies for MNC accounts and the overall India business.
 Travel a minimum of 50%.
