Description of role:
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Vice President of Sales, EMEA to lead and grow our commercial footprint across the EMEA region. This role is responsible for the strategic and operational leadership of the Yourgene and Primer Design product portfolios. While the Primer Design portfolio is globally managed by its General Manager (also reporting to the CCO), you will collaborate closely with them to drive regional sales success.
You will lead a team of 8 sales professionals and be accountable for both direct and indirect sales channels. This is a high-impact, fast-paced role requiring a hunter mentality, strategic thinking, and a hands-on leadership style.
Key areas of responsibility:
Strategic Leadership
- Develop and execute the EMEA commercial strategy for both Yourgene and Primer Design portfolios.
- Create and manage the annual sales budget using both bottom-up and top-down approaches.
- Deliver accurate quarterly/ monthly forecasts and sales performance reports.
- Build and maintain a strong, qualified sales pipeline to support sustainable growth.
- Personally manage the top 5 strategic accounts in the region.
- Drive new business development and expand market share across EMEA.
- Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing sales team.
- Collaborate with the Primer Design General Manager to align regional sales efforts with global strategy.
- Identify and engage with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) to support market penetration and product adoption.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with Product Development to influence product roadmaps based on market needs.
- Partner with Customer Service and Sales Order Management to ensure timely and accurate order fulfilment.
- Provide Voice of Customer (VOC) insights to improve products and services.
Operational Excellence
- Deliver timely, accurate sales reports, forecasts, and market intelligence.
- Ensure clear roles, responsibilities, and accountability within the sales organization.
- Foster a culture of performance, feedback, and continuous improvement.
Candidate Profile:
Experience & Skills
- Proven track record in sales leadership within the life sciences, diagnostics, or biotechnology sectors.
- Strong understanding of EMEA markets and regional business nuances.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and execute successful sales strategies.
- Experience managing both direct and indirect sales teams.
- Skilled in pipeline development, forecasting, and budget management.
- Strong business acumen and understanding of competitive landscapes.
