Area Sales Engineer (East Anglia)

The Company A market-leading manufacturer is seeking an Area Sales Engineer to join their team. This role will be responsible for growing and managing sales within a defined territory (Norfolk, Suffolk, and Essex), with a focus on both expanding existing business and developing new opportunities. The position involves driving solution- and value-based selling while positioning the company as a trusted solutions provider.
The Role Manage and develop accounts, ensuring strong engagement and long-term growth. Prospect, qualify, and convert new business opportunities. Apply consultative, value-based sales approaches to demonstrate the company’s premium offering. Maintain accurate customer records and activity reports via CRM (HubSpot). Collaborate with the wider sales team, leveraging expertise to secure opportunities. Continuously develop product knowledge, technical expertise, and market awareness. Represent the company as a market leader and trusted solutions partner. This role requires regular travel across East Anglia.
The Candidate Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or electro-mechanical engineering (or equivalent). Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a technical sales environment. Strong technical background essential; experience in the defence sector advantageous but not required. Customer-focused, with strong relationship-building skills. Able to work independently with minimal supervision. Valid UK driving licence and full right to work in the UK indefinitely. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
The Package £40,000–£45,000 base salary (depending on experience). Company car. Bonus scheme.
