HOURS: Full-Time

WORKING PATTERN: Our work style is hybrid, involving at least two days per week at one of our office sites

Merchant Services provides a diverse range of products and services to merchants from micro merchants to enterprise customers that want to accept payments via face-to-face, online, and over the phone channels. Merchants of all sizes demand sophisticated payment solutions. Merchant Services has received significant investment, highlighting its strategic importance.

We're seeking a highly skilled Director of Client Implementation, reporting to the Head of Sales Engineering, to lead our client implementation team.

The Client Implementation team is part of the Sales Engineering team, responsible for supporting our largest clients through pre-sale and post-sale assistance, understanding and solving their problems with standard or tailored solutions. We handle the technical implementation and accreditation of our acquiring and payments solutions, working closely with commercial teams and clients.

You will share our passion for solving problems, demonstrating a proactive approach to onboarding large, complex clients across sectors. You should be comfortable in a fast-paced, technical environment and excel at building strong relationships with clients, third-party payment gateways, and internal teams including Sales, Product, IT, and Compliance.

Key Accountabilities

• Launch Merchants: Responsible for launching merchants with accredited solutions promptly, ensuring business needs are met, and making joint decisions with clients on implementation strategies. Act as a technical expert for strategic growth projects.
• Develop the Client Implementation Strategy: Analyze the landscape and opportunities to build strategies that deliver significant impacts to Merchant Services.
• Process Creation & Optimisation: Work with the team to create, optimise, and improve processes, supporting continuous service delivery improvements.
• Blocker Removal & Enablement: Analyze and work on projects to enhance performance and remove obstacles.
• Team Leadership: Mentor and develop a high-performing team, fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and collaboration.
• Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with sales leaders and teams to manage change and support growth initiatives.

What You'll Need

• Experience leading an implementation team with proven leadership skills.
• Strong payments experience (gateway/merchant acquiring) or in a high-growth environment.
• Experience creating and managing reporting dashboards and performance metrics.
• Ability to influence at senior levels, including VIP clients, with excellent communication skills.
• Good understanding of sales and marketing pipeline processes.
• Results-driven, motivated, and able to work under pressure.
• Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills, proactive in driving innovation and continuous improvement.
