Orion Safety Belts Ltd is a leading provider of automotive safety belt solutions. Based in Stevenage, United Kingdom, Orion is known for delivering outstanding, tailored safety solutions to our customers. As part of our ambitious growth plans, we’re seeking a driven and results-oriented Sales and Business Development Executive to expand our market presence (UK and International) and nurture existing client relationships.
About the job
- Location: On-site/Hybrid - Ability to commute to Stevenage
- Permanent, Full-time
- £35,000 basic + 5% commission on gross revenue generated
This is a full-time sales role where you’ll have the autonomy to shape your territory, build relationships, and drive revenue by introducing our safety solutions to new and existing clients. If you’re a self-starter with a passion for sales, excellent negotiation skills and a knack for understanding customer needs, we want to hear from you!
What You’ll Do
- Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to maximise revenue.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities through lead generation and proactive outreach.
- Build strong, long-term relationships with new and existing clients, understanding their needs and recommending tailored solutions.
- Visiting existing and prospective customers in the workplace or other locations as required (Full UK driving license and access to vehicle required).
- Conduct face-to-face meetings, presentations, and product demonstrations.
- Forecast sales activity and deliver consistent results.
- Stay ahead of market trends to introduce new services/products and expand into untapped sectors.
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience in field sales and business development (B2B preferred).
- Account Management and Customer Relationship Management experience.
- Strong Business and Communication skills.
- A natural persuader – you love closing deals and gaining customer commitment.
- Proven experience in consultative and value-based technical sales.
- Experience in the automotive industry is a plus.
- Independent, proactive, and able to think on your feet.
- Strong commercial acumen with the drive to exceed targets.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
