Overview

Sales & Events Executive – Reports to: Sales Lead. Working Pattern: Monday to Friday, 9:30am–5:30pm or 10:30am–6:30pm, with flexibility to work one Saturday per month. One remote day per week included. Hourly rate: £14.00 - £17.00.

A hands-on role for a Sales & Events Executive to join a fast-paced team within the hospitality sector, focusing on group reservations and private event bookings. This position involves managing a large volume of inbound enquiries, turning interest into confirmed business while delivering an outstanding customer journey from start to finish.

Success in this role requires a combination of commercial awareness, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills. The individual will be representing the business to a wide range of clients and must consistently deliver service that is engaging, personalised, and reliable.

Role Objectives

The Sales & Events Executive will support ongoing revenue development across key areas, including:

  • Conversion improvement from enquiry to booking
  • Consistent outbound engagement
  • Delivery against group sales targets
  • Client retention and repeat business
  • Enhancing spend per booking

Key Duties

  • Deliver agreed revenue goals by actively handling enquiries and securing bookings
  • Maintain in-depth understanding of all available event packages, tailoring proposals to suit specific client requirements
  • Ensure timely, well-informed follow-up on all new leads, in line with internal response time standards
  • Identify opportunities to enhance client spend through effective upselling
  • Accurately manage booking processes including advance orders, payments, and confirmations
  • Re-establish contact with dormant clients and encourage repeat engagement
  • Provide routine performance reports tracking activity and outcomes
  • Represent the business at relevant networking functions, familiarisation events, and client meetups
  • Offer occasional support to customer service functions when required
