This is where you come in:


We’re hiring a sales manager to lead and execute the sales strategy for Huckletree’s growing meeting room and event space business. This is a commercially important role with clear revenue targets and real impact. You’ll be responsible for driving bookings across our portfolio – from boardroom meetings and offsites, to launches, panels and brand events – and for owning the full sales funnel from start to finish.


This is a high-output, pipeline-led role. You won’t just be waiting for leads to come in – you’ll be building your own, nurturing them and converting them into closed bookings. That means writing outbound emails, reaching out on LinkedIn, picking up the phone, building referral loops and attending events.


You’ll also be the go-to expert internally for optimising our event sales motion, from pricing and packaging to handover and rebooking.You’ll be based onsite across our London Huckletree hubs to maximise visibility, meet clients, support tours and close deals face-to-face.If you’ve sold meeting rooms or event space before, know how to prospect effectively, and love being measured by results, we’d love to meet you.


Key Responsibilities:


Lead Generation & Pipeline Ownership

  • Develop and execute a clear outbound sales strategy across key industries (e.g. VC, tech, lifestyle, wellness, PR, agencies)
  • Build and manage your own lead lists using tools like LinkedIn Sales Navigator and industry databases
  • Proactively reach out to prospective clients via cold email, DMs, phone and networking
  • Qualify all inbound enquiries and ensure every potential booking is followed up and converted or re-engaged
  • Maintain a clean, up-to-date pipeline with accurate forecasting and CRM usage (HubSpot)


Sales & Conversion

  • Run discovery calls and site tours to understand client needs and pitch the right space
  • Create customised proposals using Huckletree templates
  • Own pricing conversations, including upsells (e.g. AV, catering, repeat booking packages)
  • Confidently negotiate and close deals within set turnaround targets
  • Issue contracts and coordinate handover to our Community and Ops teams


Commercial Strategy

  • Track performance by building simple dashboards and reports (with support)
  • Provide feedback to marketing on campaign quality and lead fit
  • Work with Ops to improve the booking journey and increase average booking value
  • Regularly share customer insights to help shape our offer, packages and promotions


Relationship & Rebooking

  • Follow up after every event or meeting to gather feedback and secure rebooking
  • Nurture long-term client relationships and convert one-off bookings into repeat customers
  • Use email, calls and personalised follow-ups to stay top of mind


Who we are looking for:


  • Essential experience of selling meeting room (preference) and/or event space. Flexible on where you have done this, whether it is a co-working business, hotel, hospitality or specialist venue.
  • Be confident building pipeline from scratch – and enjoy outbound sales
  • Be highly self-motivated, independent, and comfortable being the commercial driver for this part of the business
  • Communicate clearly and professionally, both in writing and in person
  • Be organised, persistent and thrive in high-output roles
  • Understand how to manage a sales funnel and spot opportunities to upsell or cross-sell
  • Be available and present in our London hubs to meet clients, run tours and help drive on-the-ground conversion
