Job Title: Sales Executive (VP Level, Buy-Side Focus)


Overview

A leading financial services provider is seeking a Sales Executive (VP level) to expand its presence across the buy-side market. The role is focused on acquiring new clients and strengthening relationships with asset managers, institutional investors, and other buy-side stakeholders. The successful candidate will bring a strong track record in business development, commercial negotiation, and client onboarding within financial services.


Key Responsibilities

  • Drive new client acquisition within the buy-side, targeting asset managers, institutional investors, and related firms.
  • Develop and deliver strategic sales plans in line with organisational growth objectives.
  • Promote a comprehensive or tailored suite of services to meet buy-side client requirements.
  • Lead and support responses to RFPs and RFIs, ensuring high-quality, competitive proposals.
  • Negotiate complex commercial agreements, including service scope, pricing, and terms.
  • Oversee client onboarding processes, ensuring KYC, compliance, and risk requirements are met.
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activity to refine positioning and maintain a competitive edge.
  • Represent the organisation at industry events, conferences, and trade shows to strengthen brand visibility.
  • Collaborate with internal teams across Compliance, Legal, Risk, Operations, and Marketing to deliver seamless service.


Skills & Experience

  • Extensive experience in sales and business development within financial services, with proven success across buy-side clients.
  • Deep understanding of asset management, investment funds, and buy-side requirements.
  • Strong track record of securing high-value mandates and building long-term client relationships.
  • Expertise in negotiation, client onboarding, and managing risk and compliance requirements.
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills with senior stakeholders.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team.
  • Strong project management and organisational skills.
