Job Title: Sales Executive (VP Level, Buy-Side Focus)
Overview
A leading financial services provider is seeking a Sales Executive (VP level) to expand its presence across the buy-side market. The role is focused on acquiring new clients and strengthening relationships with asset managers, institutional investors, and other buy-side stakeholders. The successful candidate will bring a strong track record in business development, commercial negotiation, and client onboarding within financial services.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive new client acquisition within the buy-side, targeting asset managers, institutional investors, and related firms.
- Develop and deliver strategic sales plans in line with organisational growth objectives.
- Promote a comprehensive or tailored suite of services to meet buy-side client requirements.
- Lead and support responses to RFPs and RFIs, ensuring high-quality, competitive proposals.
- Negotiate complex commercial agreements, including service scope, pricing, and terms.
- Oversee client onboarding processes, ensuring KYC, compliance, and risk requirements are met.
- Monitor market trends and competitor activity to refine positioning and maintain a competitive edge.
- Represent the organisation at industry events, conferences, and trade shows to strengthen brand visibility.
- Collaborate with internal teams across Compliance, Legal, Risk, Operations, and Marketing to deliver seamless service.
Skills & Experience
- Extensive experience in sales and business development within financial services, with proven success across buy-side clients.
- Deep understanding of asset management, investment funds, and buy-side requirements.
- Strong track record of securing high-value mandates and building long-term client relationships.
- Expertise in negotiation, client onboarding, and managing risk and compliance requirements.
- Excellent communication and influencing skills with senior stakeholders.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team.
- Strong project management and organisational skills.
