Basic Salary range: £25,000 - £30,000 per year | uncapped commission
On behalf of this design-led interiors company, we are looking for a proactive, self-motivated Business Development Executive in the York area to generate new business opportunities, build strong industry relationships, and support the customer journey from initial contact to project sign-off.

The Company
Brown Pear Interiors is a growing, design-led interiors company based in Yorkshire, specialising in bespoke kitchens and made-to-measure fitted interiors. They deliver high-quality, design-driven spaces with a level of personal service that rivals and often exceeds national kitchen retailers. They work with homeowners, developers, and industry professionals to create beautiful interiors that blend craftsmanship, function, and thoughtful design. As they expand, they're looking for a talented Business Development Executive to drive sales.
The Role
This Business Development role is perfect for someone with an entrepreneurial mindset who thrives on spotting opportunities and building relationships to drive new growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and convert new business opportunities through outbound outreach and networking.
- Build and nurture relationships with homeowners, developers, builders, and designers.
- Represent the company at consultations, site visits, networking events, and trade shows.
- Support the design team in preparing proposals and closing deals.
- Track pipeline activity using a CRM system (Salesforce or similar).
- Meet and exceed monthly revenue and conversion targets.
- Stay on top of market trends, competitor activity, and local developments.
About You
- Proven success in business development or sales (kitchens, bedrooms, bathrooms, interiors, property, or construction preferred)
- Excellent communication and people skills - in person, over the phone, and via email
- Self-starter comfortable building their own pipeline and working to targets
- Commercially astute with strong negotiation and closing skills
- Organised and able to manage multiple projects at different stages
- CRM experience (Salesforce, HubSpot, etc.)
- Full UK driving licence
