Commodity Trading Software Sales Manager - £70-110k Basic + 100% OTE


Cutting-edge and rapidly growing commodity trading software business whose Software-as- a-Service (SaaS) solutions digitize and streamline international commodity trading processes, seeks a senior hands-on Commodity Trading Sales Manager to sell their market leading CTRM solution to clients in Europe. As the hands-on Sales Manager, this is very much a hands-on new business sales hunter role.

My client deliver SaaS solutions that provide commodity businesses, international traders and trade financers with automated workflows that streamline operations, enhance efficiency and increase profitability.


This is a hybrid working role, but you will need to spend a few days per week on average working out of their Central London office, help with marketing, product positioning and development. As such, it would be advantageous if you are commutable to London 2 days per week or willing to relocate closer to be able to commute 2 days per week, although for an exceptional CTRM Sales Manager, you could be remotely based and fly into London bi-weekly.


My client is circa 9 years old, has 35 employees and sold over £1million of new business CTRM sales last year without having a Sales Manager (all word of mouth), all sold on their main CTRM solution which you’d be selling. They have 2 further commodity trading software solutions necessitating growing the sales team to sell them as well. As their CTRM solutions are not in direct competition with other E/CTRM software solutions, you will be looking for new sales into clients, not replacing their existing CTRM systems…..This is a very exciting time to be joining my client, joining whilst they are relatively small but rapidly growing and ultimately a fantastic opportunity to make lots of commission.


Salary: £70-110k basic + 100% uncapped commission + benefits


Key skills sought:

  • Proven track record in enterprise commodity trading software sales is 100% ESSENTIAL, with a preference of selling Metals or Agricultural/Soft Commodity Trading Software, whether for a CTRM or market data or related business
  • It is essential that you can display a recent strong track record in new business sales


  • This role is targeted initially in Europe, although they have clients across the UK & Europe, Asia, Africa and LATAM
  • This is an English speaking role so fluency in English is essential, with fluency in other European languages being useful, including in French, German and Spanish


  • My client will NOT sponsor visas, so you will need a British or Irish passport or UK Visa allowing you to live and work in the UK (if UK based). If you are to be based remotely in another European country, you’ll need a European passport or visa for that country allowing you to live and work there without any sponsoring needed
