This isn’t a figurehead role. It’s for someone who loves: Coaching a team on the shop floor in the morning, Sitting with the MD to shape strategy in the afternoon, and Closing a key account in between.
You’ll: Build and run a modern sales machine - Trade, Retail, and Telesales. Set pace, KPIs, and simple processes that really stick. Lead by example on new business and account management. Protect margins like they’re your own. Help rebrand a Manufacturing arm already supplying majors like Travis Perkins.
You are: A sales leader with a coaching style (not a clipboard manager). Experienced in transformation: culture, process, results. Commercially sharp, margin-focused, data-aware. Omnichannel-savvy (trade/retail/telesales; e-comm awareness). From any sector — horticulture knowledge is a bonus, not a must.
