Head of Sales – Financial Services London | Hybrid Working (3 days in the office)
Our client is a fast-growing SME consultancy with a strong track record in the public sector and a clear focus on expanding into financial services - particularly across insurance, capital markets, and payments.
Our clients has a growing client base which includes Tier 1 investment banks, Lloyd’s market insurers, global payment providers, and high-growth fintechs. They trust us to deliver cloud, data, AI, and platform solutions that drive measurable business outcomes and build long-term capability.
They are seeking a Head of Sales (Private Sector / Financial Services) to lead a growing sales team while also carrying a personal revenue target. This role is ideal for a commercially minded leader who thrives on winning new business, developing client relationships, and scaling practices in highly competitive markets.

What you’ll be doing
Leading, coaching, and developing a sales team while carrying your own revenue target Driving new business development across financial services – including insurance, capital markets, and payments Building and deepening CxO-level relationships, positioning our consulting services as drivers of measurable business value Managing and closing complex enterprise sales cycles, from origination through bids, proposals, and commercials Collaborating with delivery and marketing teams to shape account strategies and ensure long-term client success Playing a key role in scaling a financial services practice expected to triple in size within two years
What we’re looking for ✔️
Proven track record in enterprise consulting sales (cloud, data, AI, digital platforms) Strong experience selling into financial services, ideally within insurance, capital markets, or payments Demonstrated success in winning net new business and growing existing accounts Commercial acumen and gravitas to influence senior stakeholders and CxOs Experience leading a sales team while meeting or exceeding personal revenue targets A proactive, entrepreneurial mindset with a strong focus on execution and results
