Role Purpose
To drive new revenue by selling Enterprise Nation's media assets, including newsletter sponsorships, video podcasts, and event sponsorships, directly to brands and via agencies. The ideal candidate will be a proactive and commercially driven individual with a passion for media sales and an understanding of the small business/B2B media landscape.
Main Responsibilities
- Researching and identifying new sales opportunities with private-sector brands and agencies that align with Enterprise Nation’s media offerings and Ideal Client Personas.
- Managing the full sales cycle, from prospecting and lead generation to developing compelling proposals, pitching, negotiating, and closing media sales contracts.
- Creating innovative and tailored media packages that meet client objectives and deliver measurable results, ensuring alignment with agreed revenue targets.
- Collaborating with the content, marketing, and events teams to ensure seamless delivery and execution of all sold media campaigns (e.g., timely newsletter insertions, successful podcast integrations, well-executed event sponsorships).
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with key clients and agencies to secure renewals, identify upsell opportunities, and foster long-term partnerships.
- Providing regular reporting on media campaign performance and sales pipeline to internal stakeholders.
- Staying up-to-date with industry trends in media, digital advertising, and small business marketing to continuously refine sales strategies and offerings.
About you
- A sales or business development professional with 2+ years of experience in media sales, digital advertising sales, or a related field.
- A proven track record in achieving and exceeding sales targets and revenue generation.
- Experience in selling digital media assets (e.g., newsletter advertising, podcast sponsorships, online event sponsorships).
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to confidently adapt to different audiences and articulate value propositions.
- Ability to understand client marketing objectives and provide creative media solutions.
- Entrepreneurial mindset and a strong commercial approach.
- Confidence with numbers and financial literacy; comfortable managing budgets and forecasts.
- Excellent time management and organisational skills; thriving in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with CRM systems, preferably Microsoft Dynamics (training can be provided).
- Ability to triage and prioritise tasks effectively.
